Our Vision

Shaping the Future of Sailing in the Middle East

The Middle East is rapidly emerging as one of the world's most exciting sailing destinations. Exceptional sailing conditions, modern marinas, and year-round opportunities create the perfect foundation for a new generation of international regattas.

TENZOR Middle East Cup is designed to become the region's flagship J/70 series, connecting Europe, Asia, and the Gulf through a unified championship calendar. Our ambition is to attract the world's leading sailors, teams, partners, and brands while establishing the Middle East as a permanent destination on the international sailing circuit.

More than a regatta, the series is a platform for sport, business, tourism, and global sailing culture.

Fleet

One Class. One Standard.

The J/70 is the world's most popular sportboat — a strict one-design keelboat built for close, athletic racing. Every hull, sail, and rig is manufactured to identical class specifications, so results on the water come down to sailing skill alone.

Easy to sail, thrilling to race, and built for tight fleets — it's the boat behind every leg of the Middle East Cup. The series is proudly supported by the World J/70 Class Association, which upholds the strict one-design rules that keep racing fair and close from Doha to Jeddah.

Technologies & Innovations

Setting New Standards

Middle East Cup 2026/2027 Series will set new standards of organization, utilizing the latest technologies and innovations.

MarkSetBot

Robotic buoys by MarkSetBot — a modern trend for top-tier regattas — will be deployed on the course. It makes race management in any conditions simple, accurate and sustainable.

RaceSence Equipment

For the first time in the Middle East, J/70 racing will use the modern VAKAROS race monitoring system by RaceSense, providing online competition monitoring, automated start line crossing detection, result calculation, and the highest precision in judging.

Leadership

The People Behind the Series

Davide Casetti
Sports Management

Davide Casetti

Sports Management · Middle East Cup Spring Series 2026

His career is unique: until age 30 — a glider pilot, member of the Italian junior national team, and still holds a national distance record. Then — serious success in sailing: helmsman in IOR Quarter Ton, Star, and H22 classes (winner of the 2017 Italian Cup), tactician on ORC class yachts.

In 2021, he co-founded and became President of the Italian RS21 Class, later appointed Chairman of the International RS21 Class, achieving ISO 20121 certification — the first sailing class in the world to do so.

Davide has also organized charity regattas bringing together legends of the America's Cup and the Olympics.

His unique experience, combining athletic excellence, record-breaking achievements, managerial vision, and a commitment to sustainability, will form the foundation for creating outstanding sailing events in UAE and Middle East countries.
